Burlington South End Farmers Market

Half way through the season and this years market has been going very well!  We have much more Produce available this year as well as prepared foods(baked goods, vietnamese eggrolls, and empenadas!!).   

We are also having a market the evening of the ART HOP at 208 Flynn Avenue!  Friday September 11th from 5pm-8pm you will have an opportunity to wander the wares of our fabulous farmers and clever craft folks!!

The owners of Outer Space, a cafe in Flynndog (an alternative art space) located at 208 Flynn Avenue, have good reason to be coordinating a farmers market in the South End. They want to be known as Outer Space the Local Place! What better way then to bring local produce, wares and goods to them once a week!

I think we can all agree with Outer Space that the South End Farmers Market is long overdue! This location, with such a vibrant community and housing such a lively mix of commercial, residential, artistic, and fabulous tenants, on the way to one of the most popular public beaches (Oakledge Park), it is a wonder it has taken so long!

The goal of the market is to have a wide variety of vendors, including fresh produce, fruits, eggs, meats, cheeses, crafts, prepared foods, baked goods, and art! The Outer Space coordinators are focused on attracting locally grown, locally made, sustainably-minded, and organic vendors…….and they have gotten off to a great start!
